It’s that time of year for Tijuana to come alive with Christmas! And Tijuanenses sure know how to throw down for the Savior: demolishing seven-pointed piñatas, eating tamales, drinking ‘champurrado’, lighting candles, singing carols, igniting ‘cohetes’, etc.
How exactly does Christmas differ on this side of the border? We’ll discuss it all (in slow Spanish with English translation available) during this downtown urban ‘caminata’ through a few of the prominent ‘lugares’Tijuanenses celebrate all nine days of the Mexican Christmas Posada.
Put on your walking shoes and Spanish learning cap as we tour the various glorieta statues that give Paseo de los Héroes it’s name. The tour is in slow Spanish with English translation available, so it’s a great way to practice Spanish while learning more about Tijuana. We’ll head out from the Dinastía 12 inside Plaza Río shortly after 2pm.
Cost: 100 pesos. Nos vemos allá!
